Recommended Equipment To Bring:

Fishing Rods:
2  Spinning rods are a must. 1 medium or light-medium action rod,1 stiff  or long 2 piece capable of casting heavier tackle. I generally carry one  light and one heavy set-up.

Reels :
At  least 2 dependable spinning reels are a must with back up line or extra  spools. I use Penn 7500,8500,95ooss reels and recommend the same or  similar. Lighter gear is challenging and fun, however there are some  serious BIG BOYS around all areas we fish. Getting spooled is never out  of the question !!

Lines :
Mono lines 25-50lb.
New high tech fiber lines 30-50lb. recommended for strength, abrasion resistance, and distance casting.
Mono lines less than 25lb not recommended.
We normally use the newer high tech lines in the 25-50lb.range.

Lures:
An ample assortment of casting lures with enough weight to get distance casting depending on the line weight you are using. (2-5 ounces)
Wooden Poppers of all sorts, (chugger, pencil etc.) spoons, metal lures, all fitted with strong treble hooks.
Anything that skips along the surface and creates a splash works well here.

I normally use about a meter of  50-80lb. plastic coated twisted stainless wire for trace on all my lures.

Mark White ceramic plugs are proven winners here and are available to our guests at discount prices. Check his website at:    www.markwhitelures.com
